Prior to taking on this position, Martin served as a consultant to CPA for over two years, developing the acclaimed annual Summit on the States and other conferences. Martin has 27 years of experience in association and conference management. For nearly ten years, she was the Executive Managing Director for the National Naval Officers Association where she planned and directed membership, conferences, training, and fund-raising programs for its worldwide Sea Services officers/members. Her deliverance of training and conferences for the Congressional Black Caucus, National Association of Securities Professionals, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority yielded record-breaking participation and escalating revenues. As Cleveland Trade Bureau Director for Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, Martin’s service included training and leadership development for minority entrepreneurs and the establishment of the Cleveland Commission on Economic Partnerships and Inclusion. Martin received her BA from the University of Tennessee Knoxville, has completed coursework towards a Masters at Case Western Reserve University, and holds a securities license with SBK Brooks Investment Corp.
