Washington, DC ヨ Center for Policy Alternatives (CPA) President and CEO Linda Tarr-Whelan will keynote a strategy meeting of The National Congress of Neighborhood Women, entitled “Women Strengthening Communities: A National Strategy Meeting for Grassroots Women Leaders, Allies and Concerned Policy Makers” on November 13. Tarr-Whelan will discuss the need for coordinated action between national, state and local leaders to move issues forward — particularly during a time when many formerly federal responsibilities are handed to the states.
“Devolution of power from the federal government to the states has given women at the state and grassroots level a tremendous opportunity to make their voice heard,” said Tarr-Whelan. “Now more than ever, women at all levels of society have the power to drive our nation and our communities forward.”
