BEAUDRY NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT FOR POLICY AT CPA;
MOSLE NAMED VICE PRESIDENT FOR WOMEN’S PROGRAMS

Washington, DC — The Center for Policy Alternatives (CPA) appointed veteran communications and state policy leader Ann Beaudry as Executive Vice President for Policy and Programs.

“This is a time of immense organizational growth for CPA,” said CPA President and CEO Linda Tarr-Whelan. “We feel very fortunate to have someone with Ann Beaudry’s state policy, non-profit and communications experience and personal enthusiasm here to make our policy programs more effective agents for progressive change across the fifty states.”

In her new position, Beaudry will be responsible for guiding and integrating CPA’s substantive policy development, communications capacity and programmatic work as the organization expands. Beaudry’s appointment signals real growth momentum for CPA, which has built an extensive leadership network of elected officials across the fifty states. Her focus will be on deepening the policy development and broadening the communications outreach that has characterized CPA’s 22-year history of moving innovative ideas to action. Beginning in 1976, Beaudry was a co-founder and the Associate Director of CPA’s predecessor organization, the Conference on Alternative State and Local Policies, and has served on CPA’s Board of Trustees and as a member of the Board’s Executive Committee for six years.

Beaudry comes to CPA from being a principal and co-founder of a successful communications firm, Millennium Communications Group, Inc. in Washington, D.C. Prior to Millennium, Beaudry was a principal in the government/community relations firm Schlesinger/Beaudry & Associates in Boston. In addition to her business background, Beaudry brings more than 20 years experience in the political and policy arena. She is the co-author of Winning State and Local Elections (McMillan, 1986).

Anne Mosle was promoted to Vice President for Women’s Policy and Programs. Mosle will direct and coordinate CPA’s Women’s Policy and Programs, including Women’s Voices projects and the Western Community Policy and Leadership Forum for Women and Families, and will work with the executive management team to incorporate women’s leadership into CPA initiatives. She previously served as Director of Women’s Policy and Programs at CPA. Mosle is the co-chair of the Board of Directors of the Washington Area Women’s Foundation.

The Center for Policy Alternatives is the nation’s leading non-profit, non-partisan public policy and leadership development center working across the fifty states to build leadership that moves ideas to action.
