CPA Model Legislation Available from Revitalizing Communities Program

Model legislation on targeted investments, micro-enterprise growth funds and Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) is available from CPA’s Revitalizing Communities program. The Economic Development and Community Investment Package aims to build a financial infrastructure to support public-private partnerships in resource-poor communities.

The Economically Targeted Investment Act allows state employee pension funds to be invested in community-building initiatives. The Micro-enterprise Growth Fund Act creates a central “bank” providing technical assistance to micro-finance organizations. CDFI legislation promotes state-sponsored community banking institutions that provide basic banking for low and moderate income families.

For more information about the Investment Package, contact Bridget Ware, Revitalizing Communities Program Director, at CPA or email [email protected].
