Directory of Progressive Organizations in the States — Now Online

In an era of devolution, effective state policy making and problem solving requires partnerships — connections and collaboration between policymakers, progressive organizations, community leaders and foundations. That is often a challenge. As Reverend Willie Barrows, Co-Chair of Rainbow/PUSH coalition says, "We’re are not as divided…as we are disconnected."

CPA’s new Directory of Progressive Organizations in the States — online at StateAction.org — can help you find partners and resources. The Progressive Directory profiles more than 650 organizations addressing issues ranging from affirmative action to health care to welfare reform. You can search this online database by organization type, issue topic and/or state. It’s truly a "work in progress" and if you’d like your organization listed, simply fill out and submit the online form. With your help we can expand this resource to include all the progressive actors in the states.
