Prepare for 2000: CPA Offers Opportunities for Resources, Ideas and Networking

Where can state leaders with limited time and resources catch up on the latest good ideas and hot issues, share with colleagues their own successful models and be a part of a network of policymakers that is shaping our nation’s agenda into the new millenium? Answer: CPA’s 1999 Summit on the States, December 3-5, in Washington, DC.

Last year, CPA brought together more than 200 elected and community leaders from 30 states for an exciting and unique three-day working conference in the nation’s capital. Representatives from advocacy and community groups, labor leaders and business joined state legislators at the Summit on the States.

Participate in the Summit on the States’ interactive working sessions that give you a chance to engage some of the nation’s foremost experts in discussion of key issues on the policy horizon and to share policy solutions and innovative models in the states.

Join us and other progressive leaders from across the country in Washington, DC at the 1999 Summit on the States. Help build creative solutions to the problems of families and communities. Be ready for the 2000 election and the upcoming sessions with ideas that work.

Note: Summit immediately follows NCSL and NBCSL meetings.
