Ann Beaudry, founding Principal of Millennium Communications Inc.,
has been named CPA’s Executive Vice President for Policy. Her responsibilities
in the new CPA position to begin in September will include integrating
CPA’s policy initiatives in health care, community
revitalization and women’s programs, and building policy
activities around CPA’s state leadership programs.
"We’re incredibly fortunate to gain Ann’s broad communications
experience and also her in-depth knowledge of CPA," said CPA President
and CEO Linda Tarr-Whelan. "Ann has been part of CPA from the very beginning.
She has seen us grow beyond our original mission of 22 years ago, and
it’s only fitting that she will lead our policy programs as we continue to expand."
Beaudry helped found the National Conference of Alternative
State and Local Policies, CPA’s predecessor organization, was its first Deputy
Director and held various executive roles on CPA’s Board of Directors.
Beaudry established Millennium Communications Inc., a Washington, DC-based
public relations firm. She is the author of Winning Local and State
Elections.
