Georgia Black Caucus, Local Advocacy Groups Collaborate on Community Planning
Forty leaders from the State of Georgia’s Black Legislative Caucus and representatives of advocacy and community groups around the
state hammered out ways to collaborate in developing their communities at
CPA-sponsored meetings in Atlanta and Savannah on July 26-27.
Participants proposed ways to work together on privatization, childcare systems and making Medicaid more responsive to community needs. The groups plan to collaborate in the future on these and other issues.
For more information on the Atlanta meeting and next steps for
these groups, contact Darold Johnson
at CPA.
