CPA to Honor Outstanding Policy Leaders
Vice President Al Gore and Pathfinder Award Recipients to be
Featured at CPA’s Fifth Annual Awards Dinner, May 29, 1997
Plan to spend Thursday, May 29 with CPA at the Mayflower Hotel
in Washington, DC, as we gather to honor a group of policy leaders who
have distinguished themselves with their demonstrated commitments
to communities and sustainable economic growth. Recipients are chosen for
their collaborative and consensus-building approaches to leadership at every
level of government. CPA’s Leadership Award, given this year in honor of
Dr. Arthur S. Flemming, recognizes Vice
President Al Gore as an individual
who exemplifies value-driven public service and inspires others to do the same.
CPA Pathfinder Awards recognize federal, state and local leaders
who have helped solve many of our country’s problems by building
unlikely alliances on common values and creating state strategies
through community solutions and citizen engagement.
