CPA Builds Progressive Agendas Worldwide

What Can Civil Society Do to promote economic and social progress was the subject of remarks by CPA President and CEO Linda Tarr-Whelan at the Third International Conference on Progressive Policy in Brussels, Belgium, on March 4. The conference, entitled "Welfare, Security and Economic Performance," aimed to find ways to integrate social and economic goals into public policy-making, rather than positioning these objectives as counter to the policy process. Participants addressed the challenges of social and economic justice in an increasingly global and technologically linked society and built strategies to best achieve progressive goals including full employment and greater equality. CPA has been an integral part of all three International Progressive Policy Conferences.
