Women’s Voices Message, Election Analysis
Carried to Key Constituencies at Briefings

The message that women are working harder than ever before and are molding our nation’s agenda was discussed at Women’s Voices ’96 briefings to the New York Regional Area Grantmakers, the National Conference on State Legislatures (NCSL) and AFL-CIO leaders. Briefings speakers analyzed the issues and opinions important to women in conjunction with November’s election, in which women voted for Bill Clinton by an overwhelming percentage and in which the voting preferences of women and men diverged by 17 points.
