CPA Forum on Capitalizing Communities Held
In order for urban and rural communities to develop and flourish,
institutional investors must make a concerted effort to invest a larger
percentage of their capital into these communities, concluded participants
at CPA’s recent “National Leadership Forum on Capitalizing Communities.”
The conference, held on December 10-11 in Washington, DC, brought together
over one hundred government, public and private sector leaders to discuss
how to form local and regional partnerships that will bring long-term
investment to these at-risk communities. (See related story on page 3.)
