Fifth Grassroots Women’s Leadership Retreat

This past June, 45 women leaders from 24 states gathered at Lake Tahoe for the Fifth Grassroots Women’s Leadership Retreat to discuss models and strategies for moving progressive issues at the state level. By the end of the three-day retreat, leaders had developed action plans around four core issue areas that comprise CPA’s women-led economic agenda: economic self-sufficiency, women-owned businesses, health and security, and family and work. The retreat was co-sponsored by CPA, the Nevada Women’s Agenda & Nevada Women’s Lobby, and the Rockefeller Family Fund.

“I have learned, been challenged, and the information I have gathered will be transferable to my work in Kentucky-and so often that is not the case.”  -Betsy Nowland-Curry, Kentucky Commission on Women
