Moving Ideas to Action—Challenge to Secure America’s Economic Future
On February 3, 2000 the Center for Policy Alternatives led a national "call to action." The Challenge to Secure America’s Economic Future promotes public policies that invest in families and communities, that secure a strong, growing economy through offering opportunity and prosperity to every American. In capitals across the country, state leaders introduced forward-looking plans to confront the key issues affecting families today, from pay equity to health care, child care and access to capital.
