Entrepreneurship Action Day June 3On June 3, 1999, CPA, the National Women’s Business Council
(NWBC), Fannie Mae and the Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy,
will hold Entrepreneurship Action Day. Promoting women’s entrepreneurship is
one of four pillars of CPA’s America’s Economic Agenda: Women’s Voices for
Solutions.
Entrepreneurship Action Day will involve a series of
coordinated media events in state capitals and
cities across the U.S. highlighting the impact of
women-owned businesses on state and national economies and
supporting investments in women-owned businesses.
Women leaders at NWBC’s Summit `98 developed strategies for financing
business start-up and growth, training and education, access to market
opportunities and networks and increasing women’s economic leadership.
These strategies will form part of the framework for Entrepreneurship Action Day.
Entrepreneurship Action Day will:
- Highlight the impact of women
business owners on the state and national
economy;
- Advance an agenda that invests
in women-owned businesses of all sizes as an economic development strategy;
- Spark new policies that break
down barriers to women growing and sustaining their businesses.
To make your state part of Entrepreneurship Action Day, contact
Ericka Hines at (202) 956-5128 or by email at [email protected].
