Symposium for California’s Emerging Women Leaders

On April 19-20, CPA launched an exciting new initiative, the Symposium for California’s Emerging Women Leaders (SCEWL). Implemented in partnership with the California State Economic Network, SCEWL is a year-long one-on-one mentoring program that pairs 27 young women interested in attaining leadership positions in their organizations and communities with 27 established women leaders, all representing a variety of cultural and professional backgrounds. Throughout the year, each young woman will work with her mentor to implement the goals she has set for herself, including running for elected office, starting or expanding her own business, taking a leadership role in her community, and getting accepted to graduate school.
